Dogging stories
Dogging in the dunes: two true stories from Byron and Wooyung
A couple who found an audience behind Tyagarah Beach, and a Gold Coast pair who went back to Wooyung after the cyclone – and met five respectful watchers.
Two true stories from the sand dunes of the NSW north coast, a short drive apart: a married couple who found an audience behind Tyagarah Beach near Byron Bay, and a Gold Coast man and his playmate who went back to Wooyung after the cyclone. Both are told by the people who were there, retold here in our words with their permission.
Story one: under a tree at Tyagarah
It was one of those days near Byron when the sun just melts you. My husband and I – a married couple, both around fifty – had found a spot under a tree in the dunes behind Tyagarah Beach, and between the heat and a few wines, I was feeling frisky. We started kissing and touching, and it got heavier, and then we realised we weren’t alone. A young guy, mid-twenties maybe and in decent shape, was watching us.
My husband had spotted him too. So I went down on my husband, and while I did, I turned my bum towards our audience and moved it slowly, as if I was being taken from behind.
He came a little closer and asked if he could watch. I looked up at my husband with a look that said yes please, and that was that. He sat down in the sand and didn’t take his eyes off the view between my legs, stroking himself until he finished. Then he gave us a big thank you and wandered off into the dunes.
We were so worked up that we packed up on the spot and went straight back to our resort for plenty more.
Story two: the dunes after the cyclone
The car park was packed when we pulled in, which should have cheered us up. Then we walked out onto the beach and stopped. The cyclone had torn the dunes to pieces, and for a minute it looked as if the whole trip was going to be a fizzer.
We’d been here once before, a year earlier, and it hadn’t gone the way we’d hoped either.
Her idea of a perfect morning
She’s married, and her husband is happy for her to come and play with me. What she loves more than anything is sex outdoors, with men watching and enjoying themselves while she does. We both live down the southern end of the Gold Coast, and we’d heard that Wooyung, just over the border on the Tweed coast, was a good spot to sunbake nude without any fuss – and to have a bit of fun if you were discreet about it.
That first visit, just finding the nude stretch of the beach took some doing. The sex in the sun was great, but neither of us really enjoyed the day. There weren’t many places where we felt safe enough to let go, and only one man came over to watch. He wasn’t her type.
A year on, the morning was perfect: sunshine from end to end of the sky, and the two of us in the mood. She wanted to give Wooyung another go, and this time she was hoping for a crowd – a few well-hung men who’d stand around stroking themselves while she played and got fucked.
A few hundred metres down the sand
We walked along the beach anyway. A few hundred metres down, we found a way up into the dunes, and it turned out the storm had done us a favour: there were sunny hollows and hidden spots everywhere. We picked one and settled in, and it didn’t take long before a few men had found themselves places nearby with a good view.
I started on the sun lotion – her back first, then her bum, and I took my time. By the time I’d finished she was dripping and I was more than ready, and I took her from behind, right there in the sand.
Watch, but don’t touch
As the men edged closer, we told them how it was going to be. They could watch, and that was all – nobody else was going to fuck her. But at the end, if they wanted to, she’d let them finish on her breasts.
They were respectful, every one of them. About five stayed with us, mostly older blokes, and she loved it – watching their bodies and their cocks every bit as much as they were watching her. When it was over, two of them came on her breasts, and she was thrilled.
Lunch, and an encore
Afterwards we got dressed and drove up to one of the hotels on the Tweed coast for lunch and a couple of drinks, then went back to my place for an encore.
One of the men had told us that since Tyagarah, near Byron, stopped being a nude beach, they’d been seeing more couples like us at Wooyung, which was great to hear. It’s still mostly gay men who use it, so if you’re a couple hoping to meet other couples there, organise it before you go. But I know couples who love it, and I think it has real potential. This season, we’re hoping to meet a few more couples there – and the right woman.
